What is a Body Reclamation Retreat?
I created body reclamation retreats for womxn who want to take back power and pride in your body in a world that is constantly telling us to shrink.
It’s both learning to love how you look and learning to live your life without being dictated by what other people might think about your appearance. Creating that kind of safe space for my retreat sisters isn’t something I take lightly.
What’s the impact of spending a week in a room with womxn who genuinely don’t care what your body looks like? It’s owning your soft belly. Wearing the low-rise pants. Wearing whatever you want. Showing your cleavage without worrying it's 'too much'. Getting a second helping because that’s what your body actually wants, not because you’ve done the math on whether you’ve earned it. Getting your hair wet while you swim in a waterfall because making a memory is more important than looking perfect doing it.
I know the impact firsthand. There’s something that happens when a group of womxn feels safe enough to actually exhale. When you’re taking photos because you want to remember the moment, not because you need to make sure you look good in them. When nobody makes you feel self-conscious for going back for seconds, or getting your hair wet, or taking up more space than you normally would.
That’s what body reclamation means to me. It’s not just about loving your body in the mirror. It’s about getting to a place where your body isn’t the thing making decisions for you, because you’re too worried about how it looks or what someone else might think.
It’s about having more freedom, more pride, less fear, and more say in your own life.
And it's finding friendship with other womxn who make you feel like it’s safe to be yourself, exactly as you are in the body you have now.
That’s your reclamation.

A Week To Remember...
The Bali Retreat
Eight strangers flew in from five different countries to meet for a self love retreat in Bali.
Six days later, they left as genuine friends, the kind that don't fade once everyone's back in their own time zone. There were breakthroughs some of them had been sitting on for years, and more growth than most of them thought was possible in a week. Somewhere between the body work and the late night circles and the waterfall days, those strangers became sisters.

About Your Host
Sarah Simpson
Sarah Simpson is a podcast host, speaker, and retreat host, as well as a Certified Body Image Coach and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. She has spent the last six years helping womxn build a more trusting, confident relationship with their bodies and themselves.
Her work helps womxn move beyond simply knowing they should accept themselves and actually create a life where they feel more at home in their bodies, more confident in their decisions, and less controlled by perfectionism, comparison, and the need to prove their worth.
Sarah is eating disorder recovered and has lived through her own complicated relationship with food, body image, and self-worth. She also lives with chronic illness, giving her a deeply personal understanding of what it means to navigate a body that does not always cooperate with the life you want to live.
Over the past six years, she has supported hundreds of womxn through private coaching, group programs, workshops, virtual retreats, womxn's circles, and now in-person retreats around the world.
Sarah believes this work is about far more than learning to like your body. It is about trusting yourself, taking up space, making choices that actually feel like yours, and building a life that is big and full enough for the woman you are becoming.
